This Italian red vermouth is made with a white wine base and married with carefully selected herbs and botanical extracts; an infusion of marjoram, orange peel and clary sage. After a slow and continuous blending, the wine is perfectly aromatized to produce a complex and intense aperitif. Inspired by the visionary enologist Arnaldo Strucchi, creator of the original 1907 book "Il Vermouth di Torino", Strucchi Rosso pays tribute to over a century of Vermouth-making tradition from Piedmont, Italy.
Food PairingWell aged cheddar, manchego, or gouda. Matches well with salami, prosciutto, and chorizo, where the savoury, salty flavours balance the vermouth's sweetness.
Official Tasting Notes Intense and complex, reflects the Piedmontese tradition with strong aromas of wormwood and spices, including prominent notes of cinnamon and cloves. Rich, with vibrant notes of orange peel and typical Italian herbs such as marjoram, savoury, and clary sage. The finish is persistent, with a pleasant bitter aftertaste of woody notes from cinchona, balanced by the fresh sweetness at the core of the wine.
