Part of the new wave of Irish distillers, Teeling in Dublin have bottled this Pot Still Irish whisky as their first product from their distillery in Dublin. This is Batch 3 of this bottling. Like other Irish whiskies with the name "pot still" , it is made with 50% malted, and 50% unmalted barley, and is very fruit driven.
Official Tasting Notes The nose emits notes of hibiscus flowers, honeycomb, white grape flesh, grapefruit & citrus. The palate has hints of lychee, more white grape notes along with white pepper, warm, roasted peaches and baked biscuits. This is all wrapped up with a dry finish, with hints of spice, roasted almonds and maple sugar lingering in the mouth.
