Established as a grower in the 1940’s by David Levasseur’s grandfather, who focused on the production of Pinot Meunier to sell as blending grapes to the large Champagne houses. Since 2003, David has shifted the focus to the production of his own wines from 4.2ha of organically farmed vineyard spread over 18 parcels in Cuchéry, Fleury-la-Rivière and Châtillon-sur-Marne. Single minded, determined, and ambitious, David has quickly established himself as Cuchery’s Rock’n’Roll winemaker – taking the viticultural traditions of his father and grandfather, and mixing in the use of organic fertilizers and state of the art technology (both in the winery and to optimise sustainable management of the vineyards), to produce wines that are expressive of his unique terroir and imagination.
