Woodford Reserve Kentucky Bourbon

A rich and spicy bourbon from the folks at Woodford Reserve. Everything they do at their distillery is with flavour in mind. Longer fermentation, bespoke barrels coopered at their own cooperage, a house yeast and their own house mash bill of 72% corn for sweetness, 18% rye for spice, and 10% malted barley for a nutty note. All aged for around 7 years in oak casks.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Heavy with rich dried fruit, hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa. Faint vanilla and tobacco spice.

Taste – Rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon and cocoa. Toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes abound.

Finish – Silky smooth, almost creamy at first with a long, warm satisfying tail.
