AA Badenhorst Kalmoesfontein Red 2020

Made from a combination of Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah grapes. A very exciting and tasty South Africian red.

Official Tasting Notes
Fabulous fruit and concentration on the nose and heavenly perfume- peonies and pink peppercorns, with a little lavender and soft beaten leather alongside perfectly ripe cherry fruit, and raspberry coulis. These gorgeous flavours carry through to the palate, with a little darker fruit too, new season hay, polished coffee bean and very long, slightly savoury finish with nicely integrated tannins and refreshing acids. From winemaker Adi: "this vintage is marked by some restraint but with fabulous fruit too. I expect it to mature very slowly and will be drinking at its best in 2027."
