Ribera del Duero 2016 75cl

The 2016 Alion is impressively fine and fresh. A fruity intensity - plenty of black and red berries - on the nose. Deliciously ripe cranberries bring in a fresh, incredibly sophisticated palate, with strawberries, redcurrants and a focused core, which twists into cured jamón and a toasty, savoury note on the finish. Ultra-fine tannins and astonishing length. Drinkable now, but will age well, up to 2038.
