We were immediately intrigued by this 25-year-old Ardmore as it exhibits older, farmyard notes intertwined with peat on the nose, that are reminiscent of Islay and Campbeltown smoke. A single malt that kept a low profile in the past due to being a key ingredient in the great old blend Teachers.

Bottled for our sister company Royal Mile Whiskies, this is one of 281 bottles. Unusual to see such an old Ardmore.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – An immediately characterful old, peaty whisky with a whiff of funk on the nose.  Farmy, with hints of stonefruit and crème brulee.

Palate – Structured, creamy and a fresh sweetness on the palate. Quite long, gradually developing a subtle phenolic note which warms the mid palate towards a balanced sweet and peat finish.
