Bellwether Tamar Valley Chardonnay 2017

A textural, mineral and elegant cool-climate Tazmanian Chardonnay - A good match for all shellfish, from oysters to lobster.

From the brilliant Sue Bell's Coonawara-based  micro-negociant. Hand picked Tamar Valley Chardonnay is transported as must to the Bellwether winery where it is whole-bunch pressed directly into 500L old French oak barrels (without sulfite additions) and fermented spontaneously by yeast present in the must.

An astonishing palate - smoky, complex, mineral and textured.

Official Tasting Notes
Hallmark ‘struck match’ aroma reminiscent of fireworks, giving way to a tightly focused citrus flavour, some ripe melon. Extraordinary texture and mouthfeel, and very long.
