Bodegas Pita Verdejo 2022

Fruity, floral and mineral. A crisp and fresh alternative to Sauvignon Blanc - Pairs beautifully with roast chicken with lemon and rosemary.

Verdejo grown near the town of Rubí de Bracamonte in DO Rueda. The sandy clay soils of this vineyard provide excellent drainage which helps to maintain acidiy of the grapes while optimum phenolic ripeness is acheived.

Freshness is the order of the day with this wine and as such, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by a 4 month period of lees ageing to impart a textural roundness to the mouthfeel.

Official Tasting Notes
Intense greenish-yellow in colour, clean and brilliant. Initial notes of passionfruit and grapefruit on the nose, with hints of scrub. Very complex. Oily on the palate, well-balanced, rounded, with a long finish. This is a wine that will develop interestingly in the bottle.
