Bodegas y Vinedos Pujanza Hado Rioja 2018

Focussed, seamless, elegant and pure - A perfect bottle to crack open at a barbeque with a few friends.

Hado is made from 100% Tempranillo harvested from 23 seperate clay-lime soil plots in Laguardia, Rioja DOCa, with an elevation of 450-600m above sea level. The fruit is macerated for five days before malolactic and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats at 24-26°C, followed by 12 months of aging in french oak barrels. The result is a lively and robust wine that is remarkably easy drinking thanks to the softening of acidity and tannins. 

Official Tasting Notes
On the nose, it is young and full of life, with the characteristic red-berry fruit aromas of the local Tempranillo to the fore, with floral and very subtle light toasted notes coming through. On the palate Hado has a powerful, expressive attack and good acidity to keep it fresh and easy to drink, with lovely, polished tannins.
