Borsao Borgia Garnacha Rosado 2022

Delightfully fresh and juicy, with a nice weight on the palate and balancing acidity - An easy-going and versatile wine, great for pairing with everything from a summer barbecue to moderately spicy dishes. Morrocan cuisine would work a treat.

Bodegas Borsao was established as a winemakers co-operative in 1959, but only grew to it's current enormous scale in 2001, when it and two other co-operatives merged. Now, Borsao makes wine from grapes sourced from over 375 growers and their 2400 hectares of vines in Campo de Borja DOP in Aragon.

The majority of these vineyards are situated in the foothills of the Monyaco mountain, between 350 and 800m above sea level. In this hot and arid area, the vines are cooled by the southerly Cierzo winds, allowing the grapes to ripen more slowly, acheiving a greater concentration of flavour.

This rosé is made from 100% Garnacha sourced from across the region. The grapes are crushed and undergo cold-maceration for 6 hours, before pressing into stainless steel tanks for a slow fermentation at 17°C.
