Bruichladdich The Organic 2011

All of the barley that goes into making Bruichladdich's whisky is grown in Scotland, but with their limited edition releases, the source becomes much more specific. The Organic 2011 is made using exclusively organically grown barley from Mid Coul Farms, just south of the Moray Firth in the highlands, harvested, fermented and distilled in 2011.

The wash is fermented for longer than average and distilled slowly, resulting in a spirit that is rich in fruity esters and expressive of the terroir and exceptional quality of this barley. This spirit is matured for 11 years before bottling without chill-filtration or the addition of spirit caramel.
