Casa Relvas Herdade de Sao Miguel Reserva Tinto 2020

A masterclass in winemaking. Intense cassis and stewed plum, searing acidity and a long finish with leather and tobacco - whatever you pair with this, make it rich and make it meaty.

The jewel in Herdade de São Miguel's crown. This is a blend of hand-harvested Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional that is fully destemmed and foot-trodden and fermented in open lagares. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and 12 months of ageing in 400L French oak barrels, followed by a further 6 months of ageing in foudre.

Rich roasted and cured meats and game. Anything from Pata Negra and Bresaola to Wild Boar and Venison

Official Tasting Notes
Exuberant and complex bouquet of black fruits, such as blackberry and blueberry, harmoniously combined with aromatic hints (menthol and tobacco) as well as with notes of spices. Well-balanced, round, rich taste of fruits and spices, good concentration of tannins, long persistence.
