Chanzy Bourgogne Pinot Noir 'Les Fortunes' 2022

Fresh and vibrant with a lovely balance of red fruit and silky tannins - a great red togo with fish. Try it with fish gratin.

An assemblage of Pinot Noir from Chanzy's vineyards in Côte Chalonnaise.

The fruit is cold-macerated for 10 days prior to a temperature controlled fermentation with regular pumping over and punchbing down. The wine is aged for 10 months in predominantly old French oak barrels (10% new) followed by a further month in stainless steel prior to bottling.

Official Tasting Notes
This wine has an attractive shiny light ruby colour. It is both refined and very frank on the nose and palate. It opens to aromas of red fruits. Its silky tannins support the balance of a wine, such that it can be kept for some time (5 to 7 years) while remaining pleasant in its youth.
