One of the stars of the Medoc, on the left bank of Bordeaux, Chateau Patache d'Aux dates back to the 17th century, with the current owners - Antoine Moueix Propriétés - taking possession of the 65 hectares of land in 2016. This blend is roughly proportionate to their growths, with about 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest mostly Merlot and a touch of Cabernet Franc. A great example of the region, the wine is oak aged for a year before bottling, presenting luscious black cherries and liquorice, with slightly spicy, herbal notes, and ripe blackcurrants leading into a rich, rounded finish.
