Cocchi Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro

Cocchi Dopo Teatro is a hybrid between vermouth and amaro, intended as a digestif or "evening vermouth" as the producers put it. The name Dopo Teatro ("after theatre") is a reference to the Piedmontese tradition of enjoying a glass of vermouth with lemon zest in the evening, perhaps after a theatre show.

Whereas amaro typically has a neutral spirit base, this vermouth amaro has a wine base, specifically, Cocchi's own Barolo Chinato aromatised wine, which has been further infused with botanical including Wormwood, Chinese Rhubarb, Quassia wood and Gentian, and double infused with Cinchona.

As advertised, it is a delightful digestif, and creative bartenders have found many delicious applications in cocktails.
