Damien Pinon Vouvray Sec Tuffo 2020

Chenin blanc from low yeilding 30 year old vines is hand-picked at optimum ripeness and only the best quality fruit is hand-selected. Only the free-run juice is used which is fermented at low temperatures by the vineyard's native wild yeast. The wine is aged on lees in barrel for around 6 months, but without malolactic fermentation, before bottling.

The result is a wine of exceptional concentration and textural roundness. The bright, vibrant acidity - preserved by the absence of malolactic fermentation - carries a superb mineral backbone, with notes of citrus, pear and honeysuckle.

Official Tasting Notes
Bright citrus fruits on the nose. The palate has superb minerality paired with light citrus fruits and a vibrant finish.
