Distant Noises Pinot Noir 2021

Elegant, fresh and fruit-forward. A delightful balance of ripeness and acidity, with a rich core of red cherry and a hint of nutty spice and tobacco - This would go beautifully with seared Tuna or even a rare steak.

Award-winning winemaker Tom Carson (of Yabby Lake fame) set himself the challenge of making great Yarra Valley wines, without the Yarra Valley pricetag. His Distant Noises range is the result.

100% Yarra Valley Pinot Noir was picked, sorted and painstakingly destemmed by hand, then macerated and fermented on skins for 10 days in open topped vessels. The wine is aged in old French oak barrels for 10 months prior to bottling.

A lovely Pinot Noir that will go with a wide variety of food. Made by Tom Carson of Yabby Lake, who has been awarded for quality Pinot Noirs (and Chardonnays) probably more than any other Australian winemaker. He was the producer behind the first Pinot Noir to win Oz's top wine prize in 2013, the coveted Jimmy Watson trophy.
