Domaine Boyer-Martenot Meursault En L'Ormeau 2019

Magnificently rich, with fine, honeyed fruit - perfect with buttery fish dishes.

The En L'Ormeau is located in the south of Meursault, just next door to the village of Magny. Chardonnay from vines planted in clay soil in 1924 by Lucie, grandmother of their current custodian, Vincent Boyer, is fermented and aged in oak for 12 months. The wine then spends a second winter in a combination of 900L foudres and egg-shaped cement vats before bottling.

Official Tasting Notes
A very big and consistent wine allowing us to discover flavours of sweet citrus, peppers and walnuts. This wine has a beautiful combination of freshness and delicacy, including a light acidity towards the end. With so many flavours it is impressive how the wine stays so balanced. The finish has generous warmth and a rich harmony.
