Domaine Capmartin Agrumes & Caetera Pacherenc du Vic Bilh 2019

Textured, perfumed and bursting with aromatic spice and tropicality - This stands up well to white meats but it really shines when paired with Brie or Camembert.

Domaine Capmartin are dedicated to producing more progressive examples of the historic wines of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh. Their vineyards are farmed biodynamically, with minimal intervention and the wines are wild fermented with no sulphites used in the winemaking process.

This is a blend of Gros Manseng (40%), Petit Manseng (30%) and the rare Petit Courbu (30%), found almost exclusively in this region, grown on a combination of clay-gravel and clay-limestone. The grapes are destemmed and undergo pellicular maceration, whereby the juice is left in contact with the skins at at low temperature in the absence of oxygen in order to impart a more complex aromatic profile. The resulting must is fermented by native yeasts in stainless steel tanks followed by 6 months of lees aging.

Official Tasting Notes
This is a blend of the two Manseng grapes along with Petit Courbu. Quite perfumed, with citrus fruits, pineapple and crisp apples supported by some spicy minerality. A well balanced wine.
