Domaine Capmartin Pimpant IGP Cotes de Gascogne 2022

Fun, funky fresh and juicy, with ripe red berries for days - Great with smoked duck breast.

Domaine Capmartin are dedicated to producing more progressive examples of the historic wines of Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh. Their vineyards are farmed biodynamically, with minimal intervention and the wines are wild fermented with no sulphites used in the winemaking process.

This Côtes de Gascogne is a blend of Syrah (50%), Tannat (40%) and Grenache (10%) grown on clay and gravel soils. The grapes are destemmed and undergo carbonic maceration, with fermentation by native yeasts, in stainless steel tanks. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation and 6 months of ageing in these same tanks before bottling without fining or filtration.

Official Tasting Notes
This plain cuvée, unfiltered, unfined and without added sulphite, is as natural as they come and can present a slight deposit. Light, fresh with mouthwatering juicy red fruits.
