Fresh and bright. Medium bodied and abundantly fruity with that classic carbonic bubblegum note - The first glimpse into what 2022 Burgundy will bring.

On Beaujolais Nouveau day - the third Thursday in November at precisely 12:01 am - the first wines of the year's vintage (in the Northern hemisphere) are released.

This is one such wine, and a very fine example at that. Organically cultivated Gamay Noir selected from Domaine de la Couvette's 11 hectares of vines in southern Beaujolais was wild-fermented by carbonic maceration in cement tanks.

From harvest to bottling, this wine was produced in about 2 months. In other words, the grapes that went into making this wine were still on the vine as recently as this September - you can't get much fresher than that!
