The top cuvée of Stephane Robert's Domaine du Tunnel, Cornas Pur Noir is an extremely limited bottling of only one or two barrels of 100% Cornas Syrah from vineyards over 100 years old. The wine is elevated by 14 months in oak.

Pur Noir, pure black, lives up to its name. A rich, dark wine of unfathomable depth and complexity.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – great complexity with aromas of crunchy burlat cherry, blackberry, raspberry and dark chocolate, enhanced with spicy notes (pink berries)

Palate – the tongue is lined with very pretty tannins on which round and fruity flavors arise. This Cornas of incredible substance with a licorice and peppery persistence provides pleasure and emotion.
