Domaine Pre Baron Touraine Gamay 2021

Fresh and concentrated, with punchy red cherry underpinned by a slightly spicy herbaceousness and a sharp, cleansing finish - This is a wine of simple, sublime enjoyment so keep the pairing simple, perhaps some charcuterie, cheese and bread.

Fifth generation Winemaker Jean-Luc Mardon operates out of his family's historic 45 hectare domaine in Oisly, Touraine. With over 20 vintages under his belt, Jean-Luc produces honest, traditional wines from local varieties which are all sustainably farmed.

This wine is made from hand picked Gamay, which undergoes carbonic maceration to maximise fruit expression. The wine is then pressed into stainless steel vats to ferment, and is later settled and stablised in stainless steel prior to bottling.
