Domaine Vincent Pinard Sancerre Grand Chemarin 2019

A particularly ripe vintage with astonishing breadth. Bursting with fresh peach, a lifting florality and a firm savoury line - the perfect white to accompany Pot-roast pork loin.

The brilliant Clement and Florent Pinard own around 15 ha. of the very best vineyards in Sancerre. In all of their vineyards, they employ rigorous green harvesting and debudding and adhere to organic practices.

Sauvignon Blanc from 2 parcels, one planted in Kimmeridgian limestone soil, the other in oxfordian limestone, with southern exposure, is hand picked and triaged then pressed as whole bunches. The majority of the must is fermented in old oak demi-muids, with a small proportion in stainless steel. After fermentation, the wine remains in the demi-muids to age, with weekly topping up with wine vermented in stainless steel.
