Domaine Vincent Pinard Sancerre Le Chateau 2019

This vintage displays a remarkable ripeness and breadth, withan impressive weight, power and intensity while remaining a wine of energy and finesse - enough so to pair with game bird dishes like roast partridge.

Sauvignon Blanc from a single 1 ha. plot at the top of the hill in the Chêne Marchand vineyard, planted in the early 1970s on caillottes over kimmeridgian limestone.

The grapes are organically farmed, hand-picked and triaged before the selected fruit is pressed as whole bunches and the juice fermented in 600L demi-muids. The wine is then aged in these same demi-muids, on fine lees for 9 months, with weekly topping up with fine from stainless steel which accounts for 5-10% of the cuvee.
