Egly Ouriet Champagne Premier Cru Vignes de Vrigny NV

‘Les Vignes de Vrigny’ is 100% Pinot Meunier (including 20% reserve wines) from a single 1er Cru site of 50 year old vines on sandy soils in the village of Vrigny. Dosage is typically low (1g/l), and the wine was aged on lees for 36 months before disgorgement in July 2020.

Whilst perhaps slightly less robust than his Ambonnay, Bouzy, and Verzenay Grand Cru’s, this a perfectly poised and beautifully expressive introduction to the wines of one of Champagne’s greatest producers.

Staff Tasting Notes
This is a wine of true elegance - medium bodied with great depth of apple and crisp pear fruit, white flowers, delicate hazelnut, a clear, saline line, and fine, silky mousse.
