A fruity, single cask 15 year old Glen Moray, aged for the full period in a Grand Cru Medoc wine from Chateau Montrose (the label says a finish, which is a wee error!). This classy Bordeaux red wine cask imbues all sorts of red fruit notes and a juicy feel to this brilliant Speyside single malt.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Extremely jammy initially, with raspberries and strawberry fondant. Beyond this there is a raft of complexity with dark chocolate too, praline thyme, crème brulee, marshmallows, cloves, pencil lead. This cask has integrated beautifully with the high strength spirit and has a classiness, depth and complexity.

Palate – Red and purple fruit pastilles, with a chewy, grippy texture to match. Warming spice, spiced blackberry dessert, and toasted hazelnuts on the mid-back palate. Again, the ABV is well hidden, and carries the elegant spice well.
