A beautifully sherried whisky, bottled for our sister shop Royal Mile Whiskies in partnership with James Eadie. James Eadie seem to have mastered these heavily cask influenced finishes. For this dram, they have taken Glen Ord Single Malt from a refill hogshead and finished it in Pedro Ximinez Sherry casks for 6 months, creating a whisky with lots of Christmas cake, fruit and nutty notes, while still showing some of Glen Ord's elegance.
Staff Tasting Notes Nose : Dark chocolate liqueurs, cherries, golden syrup and damp leaves. Palate : Chewy toffee, mulled spices (cloves, star anise). Finish : Charred nuts, cocoa, Turkish delight.
