Glenallachie 8 Year Old

A rich, fruity spicy dram from this Speyside distiller, showing their excellent spirit quality, and some interesting cask maturation. This 8 year old malt is a combination of PX and Oloroso puncheons, new oak casks and red wine barriques.

GlenAllachie make full flavoured whiskies that are really gaining popularity. Well worth trying.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon, followed by waves of ginger, toasted almonds and mocha.

Palate: Lashings of treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.
