Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment

Glenfiddich's classic fruity Speyside single malt whisky, aged in American oak casks before finishing in something quite unusual, Somerset Pomona casks. Glenfiddich are pioneers here, this is the first time someone has finished in these casks.

The Somerset Brandy Co are famed for their high quality cider, brandy and pomona. Made by the Temperley family at their farm in Somerset, Pomona is a unique blend of their apple cider brandy and apple juice matured in oak casks.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Classic Glenfiddich notes of fresh pair and ripe orchard fruits, elevated and accentuated by a finishing period in Somerset Pomona Spirit Casks.

Palate – An initial burst of ripe orchard fruits on the palate softens and develops into sweet creamy toffee, caramelised apple, and woody spice.

Finish – Long-lasting sweetness.
