This Speyside gem is presented by our partners at Royal Mile Whiskies, and is part of their first independent release of bottlings in almost ten years.  Spirit distilled at Glenrothes Distillery in May of 2011 matured in a sherry butt for almost 12 years before being bottled in 2023 with no added colour or chill-filtration. 

Glenrothes has an extensive history of using ex-sherry casks and this bottling demonstrates why that maturation works so well with their bold Speyside style.  A dram loaded with flavour, it's an excellent, affordable bottling if you are keen to explore sherry cask matured whiskies. 

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Zesty baked fruits, sprinkled with cinnamon. A dry maltiness mixes with balsamic vinegar and walnuts.

Palate – Soft and elegant, with a chewy toffee feel. Sweet brown sugar lingers while spiced brownies come into play.

Finish – Dark chocolate, vanilla, a touch of rhubarb and caramel coated hobnob biscuits.
