Storywood, a unique producer bringing new flavours to tequila through the use of different cask types, has created a tequila that represents the coming together of two countries. The process begins with 100% Blue Weber agave harvested from the lowlands of Jalisco. Once fermented, the spirit is laid to rest for 7 months in Scotch Single Malt casks imported from Speyside, and Storywood is the first producer to mature their spirit in these sought after casks.
<p>Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes grown in The Secret Garden Distillery’s glasshouse have been hand-havested before being left to soak for a full year in base gin spirit made with Juniper, Coriander, Angelica Root and Winter Savory.</p> <p>The gentle pink shade of the final bottled gin is a completely natural colouring produced from only the grapes.</p>

This Speyside gem is presented by our partners at Royal Mile Whiskies, and is part of their first independent release of bottlings in almost ten years. Spirit distilled at Glenrothes Distillery in May of 2011 matured in a sherry butt for almost 12 years before being bottled in 2023 with no added colour or chill-filtration. Glenrothes has an extensive history of using ex-sherry casks and this bottling demonstrates why that maturation works so well with their bold Speyside style. A dram loaded with flavour, it's an excellent, affordable bottling if you are keen to explore sherry cask matured whiskies.
