Ichiro's Malt Chichibu x Komagatake (Mars) Double Distilleries 2021

An intriguing blended malt from Ichiro Akuto, founder of Chichibu Distillery. Single malts from Chichibu were expertly blended and vatted with single malts from Japan's Mars distillery, which is located far above sea-level, resulting in it's spirit maturing more slowly for a smooth, elegant style.

This type of cask sharing is actually quite unusual amongst Japanese producers making this a rare treat indeed. 

Official Tasting Notes
Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries 2021 opens with notes of ripe pineapple and mango with a touch of green banana and lemon. The palate showcases notes of rich vanilla custard with salted caramel and cinnamon before finishing with burnt orange and black pepper.
