Ichiro's Malt Mizunara Wood Reserve

Matured, vatted and bottled at Chichibu, this blend of single malts has been finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. These rare and unique casks impart perfume and incense notes to the whisky.

The Chichibu distillery was founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, one of Japan's most well-known blenders.

Official Tasting Notes
The Mizunara casks give the whisky earthy notes of incense, rich sandalwood, and aloe woods, with a touch of white pepper and fresh citrus peels. On the palate there is a pleasing ginger note with fragrant wood spices and honey, finishing with dark chocolate, a subtle hint of smoke, stone fruits and warming wood spice.
