Iona Mr P Pinot Noir 2022

Lively and fresh, with ripe red cherry for days and a subtle, rounded oak spice - Very versatile for food pairing. Suitable for both fish and game.

An approachable, cool-climate Pinot Noir from the vineyards of Langrug in the Elgin Valley. This excellent value wine is characterised by the winemaker as a "Pinot for the people" and combines fruit from younger vines with high quality french oak and skilled winemaking.

The grapes are harvested by hand but not pressed. The free-run juice, along with some whole bunches are fermented in stainless steel vessels at 28°C with regular punching down. The wine is then aged for 11 months in old French oak barrels.

Official Tasting Notes
Elegant, fresh cherry and red berry nose with undergrowth melange. The palate is pure with lovely texture and sweet cherry fruit dominates with spicy undertones. The wine is fresh and intense with real vibrancy.
