Krohn Lagrima White Port

Luscious and intense, yet balanced and elegant. Honeyed with toasted hazelnut, ripe apricot and a quenching acidity - Ideal as an aperitif or to accompany fruit tarts or hard cheeses.

Founded in 1865 by Theodor Weise and Dankort Krohn, Krohn has an established reputation for quality and their wines represent extraordinarily good value. For all of their ports, Krohn uses only grapes from A-grade vineyards around the Douro valley which are taken to their Quinta do Retiro Novo estate in Sarzedinho for vinification.

This port is a blend of Codega, Verdehlo and Rabigato. The varieties are individually pressed then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is halted prior to dryness by fortification with brandy and the fortified wines are aged in casks in Krohn's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
