Lindores 2018 4 Year Old RMW Exclusive First Fill Bourbon

Selected and bottled by our sister shop Royal Mile Whiskies, this is a Lindores Single Cask aged in first fill bourbon for 4 years before bottling at a cask strength of 60.7%. 

Distillation at the new Lindores Abbey Distillery started in 2017, on the grounds of the old abbey itself. A place of great historic significance to Scotch Whisky, Lindores Abbey is mentioned in the first written record of Scotch Whisky in 1494, where Friar John Cor was commioned to turn 8 bolls of malt into Aqua Vitae by the King's Command.

One of 256 bottles, we thoroughly enjoyed this sweet dram with a history lesson.

Staff Tasting Notes

We found aromas of baked apple and pears which gave way to a lively palate of shortcrust pastry, elderflower, barley sugar and walnuts. The long finish brings orchard fruits, lemon drizzle cake and vanilla ice cream.
