Meinklang Prosa Frizzante 2021

Soft, round and playful with red berries on the palate, strawberries with a hint of balsamic vinegar - A wonderful aperitif or accompaniment to fresh berries.

A blend of Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, St Laurent and Blaufrankisch from Meinklang's 55 Hectare estate in Burgenland, by the border to Hungary. The vineyards are planted in mineral-rich volcanic soils consisting of basalt, loess and sand which retains heat and drains well.

The fruit is co-vinified, with spontaneous fermentation by yeasts native to the vineyards. The wine is undergoes a period of ageing in stainless steel on fine lees and is lightly carbonated in tank prior to bottling without filtration.

Juicy and uncomplicated, Prose stands for liquid affirmation of life and carefree drinking fun without losing seriousness. Animated by pronounced light berry fruit and fine herbal spice, Prosa's teasing perlage tickles the palate with a wink and celebrates the lightness of being in an invigoratingly fresh way.
