He has a highly respected background in geology, soil and water science, and a 40-year career in research and education. Taking all this along with a deep love of a good dram, Mike will take us through the role of peat in Scotland’s landscape, heritage and history including an in depth look at its symbolic association with Scotch whisky and the challenges that lie ahead.
