A plastic packaging free zone
From a low yielding, north facing vineyard in Watervale, sitting at an altitude of 480 m asl. Harvest is always done by hand. The hand-harvested grapes were crushed and destemmed. This wine was 100% barrel-fermented in French oak barriques, of which 40% were new. Lees stirring took place every two weeks for three months, and the wine remained on the lees to age for a further nine months.

Official Tasting Notes Bright pale gold. Distinctive lemon, white peach and apple fruit on the nose, supported by complex, lightly spiced oak. Gentle yet generous, this benchmark Clare Valley Semillon delivers a complete varietal picture of lemon rind, lemongrass, herbal and nutty tones admirably supported by toasty, stylish oak and barrel ferment creaminess. Lingers long, the flavour running smoothly from the tip of the tongue to the back of the palate. Vibrant and fresh now, quite simply delicious – but will age admirably over the next decade.
