Niepoort Tawny Dee Port

Far from the stuffy old image of the fortified wine, thanks to the attitude of its maker Dirk Niepoort.

It is named after one of the naughty twins from Alice in Wonderland, Dee. Compared to its ruby counterpart 'Dum', this Tawny is drier and paler. The same wine is used for both but they are aged them differently.

Lovely with a plate of cheese and nuts but highly drinkable on its own.
