One of Scotland's lesser-known distilleries, Edinburgh's North British Distillery is in Gorgie, not far from Heart's Football Club, and the Murrayfield Rugby stadium. Most of their production goes into blended whisky, so it is nice to see a Signatory bottling of this grain whisky. Grain whiskies are comprised generally of corn, wheat and small amounts of barley. North British is an easy drinking dram, with honey, vanilla and some fruit notes.
