Odfjell Orzada Carmenere 2020

Ripe and hearty yeat beautifully poised. Bursting with dark and red berries and just a hint of spice - A perfect barbeque wine.

Orzada is a Spanish nautical term meaning "sailing into the wind" and is the name given to Odfjell's range of more innovative wines.

This wine is made from 100% Carménère from sandy-clay and granite soils in Maule, Valle Central. The grapes are handpicked and destemmed before maceration as whole berries at a low temperature for 4 to 9 days. The must is fermented by a mixture of native and selected yeasts and undergoes spontaneous malolactic fermentation.

Spicy courgettes with saffron risotto, burnt aubergine veggie chilli, BBQ rump steak.

Official Tasting Notes
Dark red in colour. Intense and complex on the nose, with spices and ripe red fruits such as cherries, raspberries, and plums mixed with aromas of blackberries and anise. The palate is juicy and powerful with velvety-soft tannins and a long finish.
