Rallo Azienda Agricola Il Manto Nero d'Avola 2022

Intense red fruits with a delicate touch of vanilla and a hint of smoke - A great pairing for seared tuna steak.

A relatively cool-climate Nero d'Avola from the north facing slopes of Patti Piccolo in Alcomo, western Sicily.

The fruit is picked by hand towards the end of September and gently pressed. After 10 days of maceration on skins, the juice is fermented in stainless steel vessels at 22-24°C, with full malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in stainless steel vessels for 6 months followed by a further month of ageing in bottle before release.
