From around 1100 meters above sea level in the Uco Valley in Mendoza and over 80 year old vines this is the birthplace of a great wine. Made from the relatively unloved Criolla Grande and Criolla Chica varieties native to the region. Fermentation occurs naturally with wild yeasts before spending 6 months in old oak barrels. Only 2,000 bottles are produced each vintage.
Staff Tasting Notes Criolla is a naturally lighter grape in colour. Expect juicy fresh red fruits, with a real hint of minerality. The altitude provides a steely backbone intertwined with light floral and herbal aromatics. Combined, this provides a juicy red with real balance which is perfect for quenching your thirst on a sunny day.
