Tenuta Olim Bauda La Villa Barbera d'Asti DOCG 2022

A great value and generous Barbera, bursting with ripe, clean red cherry and beautifully structured by its dusty tannins - A great accompaniment to a charcuterie platter with ripe soft cheese.

The vineyards of Olim Bauda are farmed organically, with rigorous green harvesting; sacrificing high yields in favour of better quality fruit with more concentrated flavours.

This Barbera is harvested in early October and the fruit is hand-selected for quality. The grapes are pressed then macerated and fermented in stainless steel over the course of 12 days, with the temperature kept below 30°C. The wine is not aged in oak but the bottles are held back at the winery for 3 months prior to release.

This wine is typified by a deep and bright ruby-red colour with a rich concentrated nose depicting cherry and berry fruit aromas. The palate is generous and full-bodied with a long and enticing finish.
