Tomatin 2007 12 Year Old RMW Exclusive #4283

This single cask of Tomatin single malt whisky was chosen by our sister shop Royal Mile Whiskies as it showed Tomatin's distillery characteristics, but with the influence of a relatively active oak cask that previously contained boubon, then Tomatin single malt, and then was recharred for this whisky.

Staff Tasting Notes
Nose : Oak, honey and treacle before some faint coastal notes. Sweet and herbal, cookie dough and cinnamon. Palate : Sweet at first with a juicy texture which then reveals a pepper and more coastal, saltier notes. Caramel wafers and pastries with cooked apples. Finish : Black pepper and ice cream, white/pink chocolate mice, water brings more porridge and cooked apples and pears with vanilla ice cream.
