A plastic packaging free zone
The first official release from Worthy Park epitomizes a true single estate rum. The molasses is produced in their own on-site sugar factory using sugar cane harvested from their own land. Distillation takes place in a copper pot-still, and the spirit is then matured between 6 and 10 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled on-site.
Official Tasting Notes Nose - Punchy with upfront aromas of light tobacco and toasted oak with spicy fruit – raisins and plums. With time light notes of vanilla become evident. Palate - Luscious and tropical fruits with a soft, buttery and almost creamy texture. Dry and slightly bitter, soft tannins are rounded out by toasted oak and nutmeg. Finish - A hint of black pepper finished off with a touch of ginger as it lingers with it’s soft, dry finish.
