By blending anejo with extra-anejo, and then filtering out most of the colour and woodiness of the cask, the crafters of Volcan have created a tequila with lots of agave crispness and the smoothness of a well-aged tequila. Fabulous on the rocks or served neat.
The highly regarded Tequila Fortaleza Anejo has been double-distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave that was sourced from the Tequila valley. After maturing for 18 months in American oak casks, it is bottled in-house in hand blown glass. Fortaleza pride themselves on their slow traditional methods, adding no extra sugars or additional chemicals to speed up the process.
